The North American Society of Head and Neck Pathology (NASHNP) values the trust and participation of our constituent members and guests, and the information given by them to enable us to provide services on their behalf. As such, we have posted this disclaimer to inform any concerned parties about the personal information that we collect, and the ways in which it is used.

Personal information

The NASHNP collects the name, professional designation(s), address(es), phone number(s), fax and email address(es) of members -- whatever address(es) and number(s) they are willing to provide, usually their work contact information which may include their employing institution, if any. We do not record social security numbers, credit card numbers, or any other personally identifying information other than what is stipulated above. Information relating to electronic transactions entered into via NASHNP websites is protected by encryption technology.

We also record the date a member joins, dues payments and historical information regarding offices within our organization served by the member. All information is stored on secure servers, with reasonable technical and organizational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of information stored there.

Using personal information

The individual contact information listed above is available to anyone who goes to our online member directory; however, members may opt out of having their information displayed in the directory. We do not sell our list however it is available to the general public.

The NASHNP complies with HIPAA policies, and screens all content published, shown on the internet or at meetings to be sure no individually identifying information is displayed. Care is taken to ensure all presenters and authors who will be presenting or publishing with the NASHNP are in line with HIPAA policies.
